What type of job are you looking for?
Will you accept a 2:2 or below?
Yes. We're not prescriptive, because we look at the bigger picture. Our application process shows us whether you have what we look for in our trainees.
Do you offer client secondments?
Yes. We have trainees on secondment at all kinds of organisations, including charities, FTSE clients and public bodies.
What is your stance on mature students?
We simply aim to recruit the best people. We want to hear from people of all ages and backgrounds. Our recent trainees included a gymnast, a journalist and a maths teacher.
Where will I be based?
In either our London or Birmingham office, but there are opportunities for client and international secondments.
Do I have to study at the University of Law?
Our preferred LPC provider is the University of Law. We also prefer you to study the GDL at the University of Law. But we can be flexible on this.
Will I be able to use my language skills and work abroad?
Yes. Your language abilities will come in handy when you’re translating documents or talking to international clients. You may also go on an international secondment to one of our offices or you could join one of our international desks.
Is paralegal work available at your firm?
Yes. Please go to our how to apply page for more information. We have a large number of paralegals and some of them go on to apply for training contracts with us.
What's your application deadline?
Applications for our 2022 training contracts are now open. The deadline for applications is 7 January 2020 for London schemes and 17 January 2020 for Birmingham schemes, although we reserve the right to close earlier than this.
